Question:
What creepage and clearance distances are applied between terminals of a switch?
Rationale:
See question.
Decision:
1) Regarding the distance of the terminals themselves, the component standard shall be
applicable. In regard to the connecting points to the PCB, the appliance standard shall be
applicable.
2) If the switch is not required according to sub-clause 22.40, the requirement for distances
between the terminals ( live parts of different polarity) is not applicable, according to the last
paragraph of clause 29.
