Question:
When performing the heating test on appliances for permanent connection to fixed terminals
(type X attachment), how are the power source connections made?

Decision:
A) The smallest nominal cross-sectional area, as shown in the table of sub-clause 25.8
should be used when testing to clause 11 on appliances designed for permanent connection
to fixed terminals where the cable or cord is not supplied and where the instruction sheet
does not recommend any specific size.
B) Two-thirds of the required torque should be applied to the terminals when carrying out
heating tests in accordance with table of sub-clause 28.1.
