What are the requirements for the insulation of the wiring between the mains circuit and the
safety extra-low voltage circuit?

Decision:
The insulation of the wiring in the safety extra-low voltage circuit shall comply with the
requirements for basic insulation, whereas the insulation of the wiring in the mains circuit
shall comply with the requirements for supplementary insulation.
The thickness of the insulation of the wiring in the mains circuit shall comply with the
relevant cable standard or, as an alternative, it shall comply with sub-clause 29.2 of IEC 335-
1.
