Question:
a) Are live loudspeaker terminals allowed to be accessible?
b) Is the Provision of a cover to be user-installed over the live speaker terminals after
connection of speaker wiring an acceptable method of making the terminals inaccessible?
c) Is a cover installed over speaker terminals to make them inaccessible, allowed to be
removable by hand?
Decision:
a) No.
Live loudspeaker terminals shall not be accessible.
b) Yes.
Provision of a cover to be user-installed over the live speaker terminals after connection
of speaker wiring is an acceptable method of making the terminals inaccessible.
In addition there shall be the appropriate information in the users manual
c) No.
If a cover is installed over speaker terminals to make them inaccessible, it shall not be
removable by hand.
