We have noticed that certification bodies are treating products incorporating laser
7 ]: y" d- E9 Xcomponents in different ways. We at SEMKO have always measured the laser emission from: v9 R' x* G4 A9 d1 R3 S
the product when the laser component are installed and are in operation as in normal use of
+ t z9 k& r+ d2 L& M# @2 g: [the product. The laser emission is also measured when abnormal operation of the product is$ B2 l" b" o, D" m# x7 E7 S
simulated.
8 ~+ X E3 q8 e: A- G! l0 EWe are doing the measurements regardless whether the laser component, for instance a laser L, B; T- p9 n! B* T" _
reader head, is separately "laser tested" or not.

The complete equipment shall comply with the IEC 60825 series of standards referenced as
