Interpretation

9.3.4.2.3 Results to be obtained
5 ]8 t4 O/ _3 `. UThe contactor, starter, or the combination starter, the combination switching device, the: ~! F4 z$ P' t
protected starter or the protected switching device, shall be considered to have passed the
/ U! ]+ p9 W2 wtests at the prospective current "r" and, where applicable, the prospective current Iq, if the5 P+ t* R B8 R j/ }( Q* M4 V: E; @
following conditions are met for the claimed type of co-ordination.
" t i4 E5 m& R5 C Y6 d. JType "2" co-ordination (all devices):. A; W- M; Z ^) W' F% H
J No damage to the overload relay or other parts has occurred, except that welding of
# O w) _$ g. ?0 Jcontactor or starter contacts is permitted, if they are easily separated (e.g. by a
( Z6 z3 y6 U# n7 W9 ~* tscrewdriver) without significant deformation, but no replacement of parts is permitted
; H; }' a' U' Y6 ?5 G9 O2 f% X, vduring the test, except that, in the case of fuse protection, all fuse-links shall be replaced.. H& t2 K" {" U* Z' p
In the case of welded contacts as described above, the functionality of the device shall

The text "if they are easily separated (e.g. by a screwdriver) without significant deformation"% b4 y+ H, u3 T# o @ R9 u8 {
shall be interpreted as follows:6 p; t; H7 c. C' d* n1 _: n
"Easily separated" means a separation realised on site for example by:1 F" S. v8 b% Z' X) [- r$ [
- Energizing the coil of the contactor
4 T: V6 F; S1 h( @- Using a tool (eg. a screwdriver) for separating the welded contact or for moving an operating0 L4 p" Y$ z% r. p- u! J& ^
means.
% u9 z: W( }; H: O4 @% I$ QIt is also allowed to remove covers or housing of the contactor according to the instruction of

"Without significant deformation" means a deformation without impairing the insulation of the6 D0 q, A4 s3 r
contactor (see d) and i) of this Clause) and successfully performing the 10 operation cycle
