1) According to the § 12.1 of IEC 60927/A1 the test quantity shall consist of two additional ignitors for

In doing so, if we test ignitors intended to be built-in, without replaceable switching elements, the ignitors
, s t5 {* S& V5 @% I* Ushall be subjected to 30 days continuous operations so that the lamp current is adjusted to maximum (by( W8 r6 O. E! K( r# y( f. B4 R: m
varying the resistor R2), but in any case not higher than three times the normal lamp current. The test
3 A/ M$ r2 D) i+ _voltage is 1,06 times the rated supply voltage of the ballast. Our experience shows that some ignitors0 ^" x0 S' T" Y% x f
reach the maximum case temperature at room temperature in this circuit, when they are placed on a4 E9 C1 E9 k" ^ a* p3 F
wood board. Can the test be performed in this arrangement and the type accepted if after the test both
: d5 U6 u1 W4 r& w2 Q: K. x& @/ ]ignitors comply with the relevant requirements? If the answer is no, how shall the test be performed?/ E9 F7 y) C; {: ]' A1 E; E( s
2) Is it acceptable that the marking point for tc and (tc + X) would be at different places on the ignitor?
