What should be the criteria for accepting a manufacturer’s declaration for
isolation systems and materials?

Decision:
It was agreed that although manufacturer 's declaration may well be taken into consideration,
5 }& K+ J0 t3 J9 S% a5 |- B/ Xhowever testing must be performed to ensure that requirements of IEC61010-1 is met.

- e' w% {9 d1 A1 y2 zIn IEC61010-1, there is no requirement to simulate the ageing process of critical components
such as the mains / isolating transformers.
' A+ q. ?9 T- o; C3 V1 DIt should be noted that after each single fault condition test, where necessary, the required
high voltage test must also be applied to ensure that at least basic insulation exists.
