− the FUNCTIONAL EARTHING circuit shall be separated from parts at HAZARDOUS VOLTAGES in

• DOUBLE INSULATION or REINFORCED INSULATION; or. [5 ?+ l' N5 |

from parts at HAZARDOUS VOLTAGES by at least BASIC INSULATION; and! n- B- E- C& M
− it is permitted to connect the FUNCTIONAL EARTHING circuit to a protective earth terminal or

4 z) F3 b* i" D$ _8 _− wiring terminals to be used only for FUNCTIONAL EARTHING shall not be marked by the

wiring terminal is provided on a component (for example, a terminal block) or

NOTE Other markings such as one of the symbols, (IEC 60417-5018 (DB:2002-10)) or

For equipment having a power supply cord where a conductor with green-and-yellow

− the equipment shall not be marked with the symbol , IEC 60417-5172 (2003-02); and9 F( y, r% S+ J) @6 c. k/ b
− the equipment may be marked with:
& \+ _ e% }* M) ]: [4 B' Q- U• the symbol , IEC 60417-5018 (2011-07); or! Z! ]6 w2 m9 g9 V
• the symbol , IEC 60417-6092 (2011-10).
9 @3 f& p8 t4 L) KThese symbols shall not be used for CLASS I EQUIPMENT.0 K* o" ?8 h4 j, J: T& H
There are no requirements other than those in 3.1.9 regarding the termination of this
