6.14.1 General, B f$ C2 E% T
6.14.1.1 Non-current-carrying metal parts and metallized polymeric parts that are accessible during user3 {# H) ?0 {4 p/ I
maintenance or component replacement without the use of tools and that can involve the risk of shock
, V# l; V6 j: g1 M" M0 Kshall be bonded to ground and shall comply with the bond impedance test of Clause 17.2. A luminaire with6 ~, [% e" D8 X; x3 B. z( o3 J
non-current carrying parts bonded to ground shall have the resistance of the bonding circuit tested in
# P+ j7 D0 ~( ?$ V" ]3 J' P& h9 w% P3 G# Laccordance with Clause 17.2.1. If the resistance exceeds 0.10 W, the bonding circuit shall be tested as

6.14.1.2 The following parts are not required to be bonded to ground:
% k4 L9 x. Z! K/ `+ _' m(a) the links of a metal chain used to support a pendant luminaire;
8 ~5 I" h# [1 z! t+ n. H0 A6 S(b) accessible non-current-carrying metal parts of luminaire components (for example,5 h2 o/ g7 O. v
lampholders and switches) that are isolated from live parts; or
$ ^% H1 p7 W6 F- S(c) decorative parts, metal guards, and metal shades that do not enclose live parts.7 V1 R* b+ d3 C9 m. G# y& W
6.14.1.3 An individual grounding conductor of a chain-and-canopy suspended luminaire shall be8 ~% P* k* |% \, ^, ~- B3 E) Z% C
interwoven through the chain from the luminaire to the canopy. Installation instructions shall be provided O3 H7 H [2 W O$ D) ]
