1. Member States shall adopt and publish the provisions
) d1 y5 o, ]# ?/ r |necessary to comply with this Directive by 29 June 2008 at the
3 j, j( K# v3 Flatest. They shall forthwith inform the Commission thereof.
4 T9 Z4 h9 k) _' p/ ZThey shall apply those provisions with effect from 29
9 I I8 W2 ?8 _, g9 ~( nDecember 2009.% e" @% q. W$ j
When Member States adopt those provisions, they shall contain
( s5 y8 O! g* wa reference to this Directive or shall be accompanied by such9 p* K7 W- n0 ?' o3 a
reference on the occasion of their official publication. Member
: i/ y' f8 y# e5 ^+ {* O( A0 UStates shall determine how such reference is to be made., G& E$ C! X+ I
2. Member States shall communicate to the Commission the: z, r9 a7 i. v, b3 I
text of the provisions of national law which they adopt in the- e% Y/ P) k& u8 H, i
field covered by this Directive, together with a table showing6 D* J$ ?* g% ?! J
how the provisions of this Directive correspond to the national9 S( Y* U; s; p' T
provisions adopted.4 s* `8 ?& d0 v

Until 29 June 2011 Member States may allow the placing on$ q8 o" L N- O
the market and the putting into service of portable cartridgeoperated
( }; l6 p h0 a1 q" v9 h4 Gfixing and other impact machinery which are in" I" R/ f" l# p4 R8 H
conformity with the national provisions in force upon adoption
$ U% P8 D$ E. L8 j% qof this Directive.

Entry into force
