$ M# M( t! I. _; Q' V) wA switch rated in horsepower and intended for use only on ac circuits shall be capable of withstanding an overload test with an ac inductive load such that the switch will make and break a current equal to six times the full-load current of a motor having the horsepower rating in question, and having a power factor of 0.40—0.50 unless the manufacturer prefers that a lower power factor be used. Compliance of a switch with the foregoing requirements shall be determined under the test conditions described in Clauses 6.2.1.2 and 6.2.1.3 and 6.2.1.5 to 6.2.1.8 inclusive. |
