Responsibilities:) e& s/ s4 P( h R% l
1. Perform pre-submittals safety design review and analysis of proposed Purchase for Resale (PFR) products, product review and testing
( @' l1 m& G: C( H2. Critical component drawing reviews
4 f$ z: K @; C- Q7 V6 ]; Y* ]3. Assist the PFR vendors with interfacing with the Agencies, i.e. CCC, UL, TUV etc
* j3 f( a% E7 v( \4. Perform CEA-CEB19 standard testing and all internal Bose DCE Safety tests, i.e. DC offset testing for passive speaker testing on PFR vendor products
3 Z% `& {/ J F6 |& _: X2 j5. Support CCC submittals for Bose USA designed products
+ G0 O$ K/ t) V. ~8 s# c6. Handle alternate construction submittals with CCC, UL, and TUV etc
6 t# O% @# ?4 I2 T0 O ~3 @7. Perform bi-annual follow-up inspections at the PFR vendors’ factories to verify the product has not changed & T& g3 m' ~! Z+ D* [
8. Perform bi-annual CCC product verification review and testing for product Mfg in China : ` G) {# K7 S) t6 t) p% N5 Z r8 i
9. Support Agency follow-up inspections at PFR vendors factories and resolve any non-conformances
0 V2 Q" c g5 j1 y9 N10. Interface with the Chinese Agency CQC to help to resolve issues related to current certifications - R# J2 i2 H8 x' s" K! ~6 L
11. Support power supply vendors in understanding certification requirements, perform preliminary construction review, support Project team to track supply approvals.
/ b. I$ P9 L& x' r4 R12. Perform Energy Efficiency testing on new PFR products/ power supplies at each DP/MP phase and create reports
9 L9 }- s2 A) M3 H( S: c' g+ v13. Perform Internal Bose procedure Safety Awareness review on PFR products
. p7 J; e# i* w. r& O& F4 N14. Product Store display design review for displays to be installed in third party retail stores and Bose stores for product demos
- S$ x7 X* R3 C( t5 K& L( e15. FINS (customer returns with possible safety issues) review for locally returned products + D; C9 M" C$ A; `/ x! b8 J
16. Keep on top of changing local regulations so that the Design community can be advised of possible standard changes impacting current product and future designs

• Minimum Electrical Tech degree and two to five years of applicable work experience in dealing with International Safety Agencies, UL. TUV, Intertek, CQC etc..+ _( ?/ X$ U: k1 i" `# \. S2 n9 S
• Must have a working knowledge of UL/IEC60065 or similar standards with testing and Safety Agency interface experience.
! m% y3 r# M, P& p3 Y• Hands on familiarity with test equipment, Oscilloscopes, DMM, etc., and ability to perform all necessary safety testing preferred.
4 a/ O- q) Y4 c+ p( B+ M• Must be proactive and able to work independently with the ability to manage and coordinate several projects in parallel. . i4 h# d5 t. V( Q& x3 K
• Strong written and verbal skills required.
! [0 `( e4 l! }( x }9 r• Must be fluent with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Knowledge of Microsoft Front Page a plus.$ p# @4 y! k) C2 R% e( N0 E
• Fluency in English required.
