- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical/Electronic Engineering or similar knowledge level.
( Q2 ^8 @6 k7 `! J- Strong safety knowledge (IEC & UL)
# i$ g& A- X) N9 d* D4 C g- w4 x7 a0 t- Strong ability to deal with/learn international test/safety standards.
% J7 b, H% B; a! _0 _$ t4 g- `- Creative and pro-active in translating knowledge from testing result into proposals for improvements. 7 \7 H1 ?2 L! j- T0 o
- Several years of experience in small appliances safety certification/testing.3 ~2 P' m L! P$ |) g9 Z) h
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (oral, written and presentations).; }* M. t1 x) L0 Q- \
- Strong capabilities to communicate with management and colleagues in the own product organization, as well as external suppliers, testing institutes and service centers.

Key operational responsibilities
" {0 j6 d* _/ O% W7 hAs a Safety Engineer your main tasks will be to;2 h9 L' o# T8 s- N& m
- Be responsible for safety tests/certification of small appliances.
s: ]1 s1 M1 ^' O- ?- Be the safety consultant of small appliances.- C9 J) b! s! g% i4 E( n" _; `9 t5 j
- Communicate with testing institutes to deal with the certification/safety test problems.
7 y. z1 `9 S, U7 W$ {$ [- Test according to IEC/UL and national standard
f! \ z% p I7 n- Guide/instruct the team members in the right way to perform safety tests.
! N, H1 f2 u0 H/ i6 t) f- Check instructions for use and do corresponding adjustments and/or additions. 0 ~% Y! ` s2 j2 |
- Plan the lab activities and time required for the tests
* k' n6 F* O0 t# X, ~$ ?# u- Evaluate test results and create new solutions and improvements.
