Question: In the Foreword of the second edition of IEC/EN 61558-1 the following statement
occurs: “This new edition of Part 1 is only to be used in conjunction with parts 2
based on this edition. The Parts 2 contain clauses of this Part 1 in order to
9 R. m# D( |6 mprovide the relevant requirements for each type of transformers”. However, only
3 sections of Parts 2 (2-1, 2-2 and 2-7) are based on the second edition of part 1
today.

5 V5 D/ X1 }; o% ZPart 1 for sections of Parts 2 that are not based on second edition of Part
1? Can we use the second edition of Part 1?
B) How to treat a case where a transformer is covered by two different
sections of Parts 2, one linked to the second edition and the other linked
5 `$ h2 I' R; ?! a" ?$ s' nto the first edition of Part 1?
