In the Foreword of the second edition of IEC/EN 61558-1 the following statement occurs: “This new
5 J3 i9 |3 d. Y, Iedition of Part 1 is only to be used in conjunction with parts 2 based on this edition. The Parts 2 contain
! F. H* w4 d5 g( C" g8 N1 p" ]clauses of this Part 1 in order to provide the relevant requirements for each type of transformers”.
However, only 3 sections of Parts 2 (2-1, 2-2 and 2-7) are based on the second edition of part 1 today.
A) How do we deal with manufacturers that wish to use the second edition of Part 1 for sections of Parts 2
' k5 I$ M7 x2 F' ~that are not based on second edition of Part 1? Can we use the second edition of Part 1?
B) How to treat a case where a transformer is covered by two different sections of Parts 2, one linked to
. q. t( \# K, D8 i7 W0 V3 ~the second edition and the other linked to the first edition of Part 1?
